Glasgow Urogynaecology Cadaveric Masterclass 2020
held in Dundee 1st and 2nd October 2020
Karen Guerrero, the Programme Director, a Consultant Urogynaecologist at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde will review all application for suitability for attending this course as there are limited places available.
Course Objectives:
Anatomy is key to safe surgical practice. Performing surgical procedures and understanding their potential complications requires a knowledge and understanding of the clinical anatomy.
This course aims to cover Non-Mesh Continence surgery and prolapse surgery, with the emphasis on clinical anatomy. It is a ‘hands-on’ cadaveric operative course, with a ratio of 1:2 per cadaver, supported by presentations and anatomy prosections.
It is aimed at Senior Trainees & Consultants working in operative Urogynaecology.

Faculty:
The Glasgow Urogynaecology faculty consists of an experienced team of clinicians and teachers. The team have extensive experience in teaching and delivering both the surgical procedures being taught and in teaching of clinical anatomy. They are there to facilitate learning.

Venue:
Our 2020 Urogynaecology Masterclass is being held at the Surgical Skills Centre at the Dundee Institute for Healthcare Simulation, University of Dundee, Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Dundee. This is a purpose built multi-professional facility opened in 1997 by Sir Kenneth Calman. The centre houses state of the art facilities enabling health care professionals to learn safely in simulated environments and enhancing the transfer of new skills to clinical practice.
