Laparoscopic Suturing & Morcellation Course

This brand new one day laparoscopic suturing and morcellation masterclass has been rolled out for the first time at the BSGE meeting in Edinburgh. The programme simulates scenarios encountered in laparoscopic surgery (knot tying, vaginal cuff closure, laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy, enucleation of fibroid and morcellation of specimens) using animal tissue models. This precongress course will be held in the state of art Surgical Skills centre, Dundee. We invite you to train and test your laparoscopic suturing skills and morcellation techniques. 
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this course participants should be able to:
Tie a safe laparoscopic Surgeon’s knot and laparoscopic tumbled square knot
Familiarise with extracorporeal knotting techniques
Demonstrate continuous and interrupted suturing
Transect specimens using monopolar or bipolar loops and morcellate safely
Maximum no of delegates: 20
