Laparoscopy in Urogynaecology-hands-on Advanced Course on Thiel Cadavers

This is a newly developed 2 day Laparoscopic Urogynaecology Course using human cadavers embalmed with Thiel technology. Laparoscopic Courses in other specialities at our centre using Thiel's cadavers have been very successful and are in high demand. The operative programme will cover advanced laparoscopic skills including laparoscopic suturing skills, extracorporeal knotting techniques before practicing a wide range of apical support techniques including laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy, laparo-scopic  cervicopectopexy, laparoscopic paravaginal repair. A ratio of 1:2 per cadaver. An excellent opportunity to interact with experts with a ratio of 1:2.

This 2 day unique, intensive course is aimed at Consultants and Senior trainees (ST5-7) with interest in Urogynaecology who have already achieved some competency in gynaecological laparoscopy.

  • Laparoscopic suturing for Burch/paravaginal repair
  • Laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy

  • Laparoscopic paravaginal repaire
